Hello! I’m Laura and I’m glad you’ve joined me. I am addicted to meal planning. And here’s why.
Any time a new mom (or anyone, for that matter) asks for tips for making life easier, I always recommend capsule wardrobes and meal planning. Those two things have literally changed my life. And I believe the reason is that they streamline basic daily processes.
I started meal planning 8 years ago when my first daughter was born. When she was 3 months old, I went back to work at my traditional office job. I didn’t need to meal plan for her, obviously. But I did start some basic meal planning for weeknight dinners for my husband and myself. My main reason? I wanted to avoid unnecessary grocery store trips with my infant at all costs.
Back then, my meal planning was pretty lose. Instead of planning specific meals, I made a general plan for each night just to give myself a guideline for shopping. Instead of seeing “Honey Garlic Chicken Breasts with Steamed Broccoli and Parmesan Noodles” on my meal plan, you’d see something like “Chicken with veggies and noodles”. Or even simpler, “something with chicken”.
That’s the beauty of meal planning. There’s no single way to do it. You can make it work for your exact personal situation.
I know that the thought of planning meals can be overwhelming, especially to a new mom who is just trying to make it day to day on very little sleep. I totally get it. I’ve been there. Three times.
But it doesn’t have to be complicated and overwhelming. I want to share with you everything I know about meal planning, including why it’s such a game changer, how to get started, and how to customize your meal planning to make it work perfectly for you.
So hop on over to the Start Here page and get your meal plan on! <3
